For Roberto Luongo, it's a file of one.
According to George Richards of the Miami Herald, Luongo hasn't submitted a list of teams for which he would accept a trade, nor has the general manager of the Vancouver Canucks asked for one. The 33-year-old goalie has simply told Mike Gillis that the Florida Panthers is the team of choice.
Luongo and Gillis will be able to talk in person next week, when the goalie is back in Vancouver for a charity golf tournament.
The question I have had all along about this scenario of Luongo going to Florida:
Is what are the Florida Panthers prepared to give up? With a trade that seems inevitable -- What would you give up, if you were general manager? Remember, this player is desperate to be on you team... I'm not even sure I would risk a trade. Given what Jose Theodore was able to do as a Florida Panther, a season ago...
