Kris Letang staying with the Pittsburgh Penguins

Posted on June 30, 2013 at 11:20 AM

"According to RDS, the Penguins have agreed to terms with Letang on an eight-year, $58 million contract with an annual annual value of $7.25 million and a limited no-trade clause to 15 teams." -

Starting in 2014-15, Letang will have the third highest cap-hit among defensemen in the NHL, only behind Shea Weber of the Nashville Predators and Ryan Suter of the Minnesota Wild

We can officially kill the Letang to the Leafs rumors. If it was going to cost us 7.25 million though annually, I'm happy he's not wearing Blue and White right now. Overpaid.

Rumor: Letang has interest in the Leafs
