The Vancouver Canucks have traded goaltender Corey Schneider to the New Jersey Devils for the 9th overall pick from the 2013 NHL entry draft. Schneider played 30 of the Canucks' 48 games last season and posted a 2.11 GAA and a .927 SP%.
There was a lot of speculation that Schneider was to be moved the past few days. Edmonton was said to be a possible destination too. Instead, he will be joining Martin Brodeur in New Jersey.
Update: With the pick obtained from the Devils, the Canucks selected center Bo Horvat at 9th overall.
