Bobby Ryan snubbed from US Olympic hockey team

Posted on January 2, 2014 at 10:05 AM

Ottawa Senators forward Bobby Ryan not making the United States 2014 Winter Olympics hockey team may go down to be the biggest snub of the year. The right winger has 36 points in 42 games this season, but did not make the cut for the US team, with whom he won the silver medal in the 2010 Winter Olympics.

Ironically, Brian Burke, who helped assemble the US roster, initially drafted Ryan into the NHL when he was general manager of Anaheim.
