Video: Full Penguins vs. Blackhawks 3-on-3 overtime

Most NHL fans can agree that three-on-three overtime has been one of the greatest things ever invented. Yesterday’s overtime between the Penguins and Blackhawks featured some more intense back-and-forth hockey.

You can watch it in its entirety above. The period also included Phil Kessel back-checking.

Less than two minutes remaining the overtime period, Kessel caught up to Kane to prevent a breakaway, and then broke up the play by knocking the puck away from Panarin. Of course, Kessel has been highly scrutinized his entire career for his defensive effort.

Unfortunately for Phil and the Penguins, Chicago ended up scoring less than 10 seconds later. However, this game could have gone either way as both teams had many scoring chances throughout the overtime period.
